Dallas departs from Nile to focus on Narcotic Wasteland

Message from Dallas:

Just in case anyone has not heard the news I have departed from Nile. I would like to thank the fans of the band, all the friends and bands I met over the years.

You are truly great people.

This is the end of the road for me and Nile, but not the end for me and music. My band Narcotic Wasteland is going strong as we are nearing completion of our second album. We plan to release it this year and hit the road at some point. Also I did solo guitar work on Jon Vesano's new In-Defilade album slated to come out soon. I plan to stay as busy as I can with music on whatever level possible.

Also thanks everyone who is messaging me. I will reply as soon as I can. I wish Nile the best.

Dallas, I've recently been very moved by your band. Back in 2010 my band started recording our debut album mystery of the aeyther. In fact Kevin Talley did drums on 5 of the songs and Derek Roddy did 3 tracks, Karl (Nile) also did a guest solo. Anyway all that was ruined as I went down a path of death and destruction. Heroin and Meth. I'm in rehab now and discovering myself again! I heard delirium tremens a couple weeks ago and was just deeply moved! My favorite track is Bleed and Swell. I really love the guitar play through videos you do. From what I've seen on YouTube from the live shows recently you did, that bleed and swell is played in Eb, yes? Or as you've said D# standard in the gear god vids. Is there any way possible to get you to do a guitar play through of all guitar parts of Bleed and Swell? I really would like to start figuring out how to play this song while I am here in Rehab! Narcotic wasteland is so amazing and I see why you wanted to focus on the band. It's also inspiring to my recovery. So, thank you for making this amazing album Dallas and crew. I'm in awe, and if you can.... A guitar play through of Bleed and Swell would be much appreciated, it is without a doubt my favorite song on the record! Keep shredding guys! - Matthew B
